None Left Behind; Revelation Made Clear

Many people that read the Book of Revelation become very fearful when they read of the plagues and all of the beasts and other frightening imagery.

This is unfortunate because Revelation is truly a beautiful book that should excite and comfort the Christian when they read it.

This one of the reasons why F. Paul Gilliam wrote his book, “None Left Behind, The Book Of Revelation Made Clear”. He has simplified all of the troubling issues into an easy to understand, blessed revelations of what The Book of Revelation is really saying to the Christian today. The Book of Revelation is really about God reveling His Wonderful Son, Jesus Christ our Lord!

On the other hand, if The Book of Revelation seriously frightens you, or for that matter, aspects of death, sickness, pain, suffering etc. causes you terror or makes you extremely uncomfortable when you hear about them or you read Revelation or the Bible and come away fearful, then you need to ask yourself the following two questions.

Question 1: If you were to die tonight, do you know for certain that you will go to heaven, or is this something that you would say that you are working on?

You know that the Bible was written that you might know that you have eternal life and life more abundantly. If we are truly Christians we are not supposed to be afraid.

Question 2: If you were to die tonight and you were standing before God and He ask you, “Why Should I Let You Into My Heaven?” what would your answer be?

If you answered:

Good works
I live a good life
I believe that God is love and will allow me into His heaven.
I’m a good person I’ve never done anything really bad
I’m a good husband, wife, child
I go to church every week
I read the Bible all of the time
I believe in God (but do not have a close personal relationship)
I’ve been Baptized
I had a childhood experience with God
I made some sort of commitment years ago and that should be good enough
Other similar answers OR…
You Simply Don’t Know What You Would Answer God!

…maybe your fears and concerns are justified.

If you answered any of the above, we are happy to say that you DO NOT need to be afraid anymore.

Why, you may ask? Because...

1.    Eternal Life and Heaven are a free gift that can neither be earned nor deserved.

“Salvation is by grace through faith, and that is not from yourselves; it is a gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast.” Ephesians 2:8-9.

2.    Man is a sinner and cannot save himself.

3.    While God is a loving God, He is also a just God and MUST punish sin.

4.    God has solved man’s problems in the form of His Son, Jesus Christ, who came to earth, died and rose again to pay the penalty for our sins and purchase us a place in heaven.

5.    The key to receiving the free gift of Eternal Life is not merely having a head knowledge of God and Jesus or a temporal faith in God, but it means having a saving knowledge of Christ.

Jesus said that He is the Bread Of Life, and no one will have Eternal Life without first eating of His Flesh and drinking of His Blood. That may sound offensive to you on the surface but think what He is saying.

Let us illustrate this way. Suppose you live directly over a bakery and every morning you can smell the wonderful smell of fresh bread baking. You might even comment on a regular basis, “Doesn’t that bread smell great!”

It may smell so wonderful that on occasion you visit the bakery below your home to actually see the bread. It looks as wonderful as it smells and the baker may even break off a piece of the bread and hand it to you.

You can feel how warm and rich its texture is. The freshly broken bread literally erupts with the wonderful smell of freshly baked bread. You can see the light brown color of the crust and all of the nooks and crannies of the soft and warm inside of the loaf.

Furthermore, you may be really starving. You can nearly taste this wonderful bread.

But you know what you do? You look at the bread, you smell its wonderful odor and you feel its warmth and texture but you simply lay the bread back on the counter and walk out of the shop.

You may even go through this same exercise day after day, week after week, month after month and even year after year, but you never partake of this wonderful bread.

You may say, “That is ludicrous. If I was hungry I would immediately eat the wonderful bread.”

But maybe this is exactly what you are doing with Jesus Christ. You attend church regularly and you hear and read the Word of God, see the fellowship of other believers and hunger for the free gift of Eternal Life, but you never partake of the Wonderful Bread Of Life.

The Bread Of Life, that if you eat it, you will never be hungry again. Your spiritual hunger will be filled by simply partaking of the True Bread of Life; Jesus Christ.

If this touches your heart in a way that you may have felt on occasions before, or maybe you are feeling for the first time, then you may need to accept the True Bread of Life.

Do not rely on head knowledge of this bread, always smelling, seeing and touching but never actually eating the bread.

Do not rely on what you can do to earn this bread, or be good enough to have some of the bread because the baker will not sell you the bread or allow you to work for it. He will ONLY GIVE you the bread if you freely ask for and accept it.

Do not rely on some action that you did as a child or for that matter as an adult to insure you receiving some of the bread.

None of these things will save you from an eternity of starvation. The Bible gives the answer to an eternity of being truly satisfied and filled, never to experience spiritual hunger again.

The Bible says, “If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9.

It is really quite simple.

You need to repent of your sins
You need to transfer your trust to Jesus
You need to accept the risen, resurrected Christ as Saviour
You need to receive Christ as Lord of your life

Affirmative action on your part will indicate that God has done a work of grace in your life, and that you have become a new creation in Christ Jesus our Lord.

      Trusting in Christ alone
                      Acts 16:31 Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved

If these verses make sense to you then you need to:

A.) Transfer your trust to Jesus Christ

B.) Receive the resurrected and living Christ as Savior

                    Revelation 3:20 I stand at the door and knock

C.) Receive Christ as your Lord

D.) Repent of your sins, confess them to Jesus and turn away from your past life of sin

E,) Pray the following prayer:

“Lord Jesus Christ, I know I am a sinner and do not deserve eternal life. But, I believe You died and rose from the grave to purchase a place in Heaven for me. Lord Jesus, come into my life; take control of my life; forgive my sins and save me. I repent of my sins and now place my trust in You for my Salvation. I accept the free gift of eternal life.”

If you did the following five steps and you prayed the simple prayer, THEN YOUR FEARS CAN GO AWAY BECAUSE JESUS WILL BE WITH YOU FOREVER! YOU NOW HAVE THE BREAD OF LIFE!

The comfort that you can receive comes from the following verse where Christ Himself personally says:

                     John 6:47 "Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes has eternal life. "
